About the Event

For every female hero there are millions of women doing ordinary things every single day.   March is all about celebrating women and as we approach International Women's Day, I wanted to acknowledge the ordinary women I meet every single day. The women who describe themselves as "just Mums" whilst raising the next generation and navigating all that goes with it; the Mums juggling cuddling the sick toddler with back to back teams calls; the Grandmas who don't get Tik Tok but understand human nature, who wait in the wings with their advice or support on the school runs; the Daughters who dream up those perfect Mother's Day gifts; the Aunties who get all the nice bits, the treats, the trips and the noisy toys; the Aunties who step in to provide a home in the absence of parents; the single woman who adopts a child and provides a comfortable home and most of all hope; the women who keep the lights on cleaning the toilets or the Delivery Manager who just checks you're o.k when she knows you're having a rubbish day. We are not defined by our job titles or our careers but by the kindness and nurture we bring into our lives and to those around us. This International Women's Day, I'm inviting all women to join me to celebrate this nurturing gift. We'll spend an hour looking at how we bring more emotional balance into our life, the latest science on kindness and a free guided practice.
