What do our customers say?
Improved Sleep
"I attended the mindfulness sessions as I was struggling with getting to sleep. The age old problem of the mind beginning to wander and think about future tasks as soon as I lay down in bed. The body scan sessions in particular gave me a very simple focus to repeat when I lay in bed. Together with the breathing techniques, it had an almost immediate effect on my ability to drift off, increase my sleep time and leave me feeling more refreshed and energised each day."
What did you learn?
"That mindfulness involves being in the moment and just noticing thoughts rather than allowing them to develop."
Came away feeling calm and refreshed
"Every session I came away feeling calm and refreshed. Sometimes I would enter my sessions feeling tired and drained and would leave feeling happy and like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. It’s a good experience to be around people you don’t know much about and share your experiences together."
What did you learn?
"I learnt how we had different parts of the brain that trigger different things. From Past experiences it causes us to act in certain ways and has an effect on how we react to things now."
Taught me to be able to bring the techniques into my everyday life
"I have attended a number of Julie’s mindfulness sessions I have enjoyed all of them. They brought a calming end to the day, she provides great context on the topic we would focus on then ended with a relaxing meditation. Meditation is something I’ve wanted to focus on for a while but put off for various reasons these sessions allowed me to understand more and be able too bring the techniques provided into my everyday life. If you are looking for a starting point for your mindfulness journey I highly recommend Julie."
What did you learn?
"To departmentalise some of the things that might pop into your head, thoughts or emotions. Also to know that during meditation you don’t need to have a blank mind."
Mindfulness and meditation, a fantastic experience.
"Julie introduced me to the world of mindfulness and meditation, which I found to be a fantastic experience. As a person who never really takes time out for themselves, Julie taught me the fundamental techniques of creating that mental space and practicing self awareness. Her calming and charming personality lends itself so well to the job at hand. Thank you Julie!"

How could we improve?
-
More of a guidance on what I should be attempting to achieve as a new comer.
-
I wanted to know what 'success' at mindfulness was. How would I know that I was getting 'better' at it? Maybe that sort of goal achievement is a contradiction to mindfulness. Perhaps this could be explained because I think as humans in all walks of life it is natural to want to know that we're improving in something that we practice.
